Thanks to a new partnership with GridBeyond, the leading provider of intelligent energy technology and flexibility solutions, Bryt Energy is helping their customers to save money on their electricity bills, generate new streams of revenue and become more sustainable by supporting the decarbonisation of the energy network.
Industrial and Commercial (I&C) businesses supplied by Bryt Energy will gain access to an award-winning energy technology platform – GridBeyond Point. By harnessing the power of AI, the platform enables organisations with load assets, on-site generators, EV charging systems and energy storage to participate in optimisation services.
Businesses can monetise their energy flexibility through participating in balancing services, optimising the value of their assets in the trading markets and generating savings by shifting their consumption patterns to reduce peak charges. All of this can be achieved without any capital expenditure or impact on operational integrity, whilst simultaneously supporting the integration of renewable energy into the grid and the transition to a net-zero economy.
Bryt Energy, part of the Statkraft group; Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy and leading international hydropower company, supplies zero-carbon, 100% renewable electricity to British businesses, using only solar, wind and hydro energy sources. GridBeyond’s platform supports the integration of energy from intermittent and green sources onto the grid by encouraging and enabling participation of energy consumers in grid balancing services.
Mark Davis, Managing Director UK & Ireland, commented on the partnership:
“GridBeyond’s partnership with Bryt Energy highlights the increasingly important need for collaboration of all energy industry stakeholders to advance the transition towards a digitalised and decarbonised energy economy.
“Bryt Energy’s wealth of experience in supplying zero carbon, renewable electricity and on-site battery storage; combined with GridBeyond’s technological acumen and innovative energy platform, has led to a collaboration that will not only create new opportunities for Bryt Energy’s client base but will also shape the future of the UK energy market.
Chris Curry, Head of Flexibility at Bryt Energy, commented:
“The business community and the manner in which they consume electricity will be a critical element in achieving net zero. Given the right tools, businesses can support the integration of more renewables and provide support to the system in adopting EVs and heat pumps. We’re focused on delivering these solutions.
Providing customers with access to our trading desk through GridBeyond’s dispatch platform means that businesses can directly access renewable power markets and deliver a valuable service to our energy system, whilst being compensated for doing so.
This represents a genuine evolution in the demand flexibility space and we’re excited to be working with such a credible partner.”
