Waterford Council approved planning for 270 acre solar farm

Waterford Council has approved planning for one of the country’s largest solar farms in a scenic region of mid- Waterford. Dublin-based Highfield Solar Ltd had sought 10-year permission for a development across four distinct land sections, spanning 270 acres in the county’s Copper Coast region. Permission was granted with 22 conditions.  

Statkraft nets 320MW Irish solar bounty

Statkraft has acquired Irish solar projects of a combined capacity of 320MW from UK developer JBM Solar for an undisclosed sum. Entrust announce success for large solar farm in Tipperary

On 24th April, Entrust Planning Consultants received planning permission for the largest solar farm granted permission by An Bord Pleanala to date. The 143.6 acre 25 MW solar farm is located near Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. The project was initially granted permission by Tipperary County Council but was appealed by a third party.
